About Rack Your World

Rack Your World is the homeowner-facing side of Timber Laboratory, a Perth carpentry workshop that designs and builds made-to-measure timber storage. The range covers wall and door-mounted spice racks, full and half-door pantry racks with an optional veggie pocket, floating shelving, and custom timber barn doors — every piece measured against your own kitchen, pantry or doorway rather than sold in fixed sizes.

It is made for people who are short on cupboard space and tired of pressed board: renters fitting out a rental pantry, families with a narrow door and nowhere to put the spices, renovators who want a sliding barn door that actually matches the opening, and small business owners who need practical timber joinery. Because each rack is drawn from your dimensions, the standard door, awkward corner and odd-height wall are the normal case, not an exception.

The workshop also runs Open Cut Creations, its commission arm for CNC-carved timber work — topographic mine-pit replicas, boardroom table tops with routed inlays, and corporate lobby displays. Those pieces come from the same bench and the same stock as the spice racks, carved in stained pine or solid hardwood and finished by hand.

Everything here is built by the Timber Laboratory workshop team in Western Australia: the measuring, the drawing, the CNC toolpaths, the assembly, sanding and sealing. No imports, no flat-pack kits, no resellers in between — you deal with the people holding the tools.
